Dada’s Dotty.. September 29, 2007
My DADA has sent me a beautiful card for Daughter’s day.
I call my father as DADA. i dont know how it came. may be when i was in Mangalore. He calls me DOTTY. i liked the card very much.
I’m glad that you are a
part of my life…
how wonderful and satisfied
i feel, with you
around me…daughter,
your affection, your
gentleness, your caring
and thoughtful ways,
give me a different kind
of enjoyment…
the one i’ve aways
longed for
…and the love that
i have for you in my heart,
is growing with
every passing moment,
for your charming
ways and sweet smiles
take me to a
different world…the
world where
dreams come true, the
world that gave me
a daughter like you.
Somebody cares…

I look like a Yakshi… August 24, 2007
I have not seen yakshagana at all. but i wanted to have that kireeta on my head. this dream became true when i went to a hotel with my friends. my dada took the photograph. everybody in the hotel was watching me. i was feeling shy. but dada did not leave me. he somehow made me to cover yakshagana dancer face and as if i am doing yakshagana he has taken the photograph. is it good?. i dont know i could not judge.
Let me dream my own dreams August 21, 2007
My dada always dreams that i will join Television. when i was in first standard in Mangalore we all used to play different games. we were bored of same old games. so we use to invent silly games. creating a news on our apartment was one among that. we used to play this until i reached third standard. enacting the advertisenments was really a good game. i enjoyed it. but what to do? only by this dada thinks that i will jump to television. no way, let me dream my own dreams.
My dada wrote this in ETVIANS- Magazine for ETV channel staff. all daddies want to boast of their kids. my daddy also not different. but i liked the photo of mine which was taken by YAGNA mama in Mangalore.
Little Nose for big News
The nose for news seems to be an all-pervading phenomenon now-a-days. just consider this. A few days after our Kannada channel was launched, I found my five-year-old Kinnari jump out of the school bus in the evening and climb all the four floors in a hurry.
The first standard student rushed home to pose a startling query to me.-”pappa, where is your camera team?” i tried to figure out what really made her curious in such an unexpected way. Interestingly, she gives the impression of racing against the time. She Yells “pappa, why are u delaying? it will b too late. an auto fell in a gutter near my school. The drivers were trying to pull it out. Don’t waste time or else you will miss the story”.
My little daughter not only recognised a news worthy event but is also aware of the intricacies and complexities of electronic media. To match her imagination, We bought her a camcorder for her next birthday. after a week, there was another pleasant surprise- a half an hour bulletin-’Apartment News’-was ready. She teamed up with all her friends in the apartment to produce it, depicting the day’s activities and there were even advertisements to give it a realistic touch.
later on, I bought her a TV News play-kit from Secunderabad. All with the intent to boost her imagination levels. No wonder, there are now more ‘Bulletin games’ in our apartment.
